Office Culture was excellent. That could be used as an Standard.

I don't know about the current conditions but my experience was not good. Some guy was working in company for last 2½ years and was at 25K, offered 50K from market. When he informed his manager about the offers, the manager offered him a raise of 5K only. The manager at that time was Ali Siddiqui.

Si3 Salary scale was low from the current market, the management doesn't care their precious resources and not to agree to increase the resource salary upto the offer he/she got from any other company.

there is no appraisal or evaluation system. No goals are set to justify the increments or promotions. Process runs on middle management like-dislike and top management whims. Mostly middle management has very little say.

used to be the best company with best brains in the market but the vision and the actions were at contradiction. Could have been a great success.

open communication and friendly people. Really adjust. You are encouraged to address everyone by their first name despite their ranks.

The best company i have ever worked for. Friendly and professional environment.

Amer Mubashir is the reason for the downfall of Great Si3. Because of his wrong attitude and so called polices the good resources from top to bottom left the company and he/they still never care.

Office environment is very nice, you definately love it. I think very fewer companies have this type of office culture. All staff are very co-operative

I have heard Si3 gives good salary package to females employees. How do I apply?
By Sherry Rehman
Si3 provides great oppertunities to learn and improve your professional skills. Then even let there employee to switch other technical area if employee show there interest. While working there i felt, Si3 not only provided growth to your related skills but also area whch indirectly lnked with your subjected area.

They not provide financial growth as compare to current market. According to term, they have 2 reviews annually. But these review not properly done.

This company could be a case study of having the right the ppl, brand equity, financial equity, backing, capacity to open doors, and still failing at this magnitude. Its sad not just for the company and its shareholders, but also negative for the industry in general, because fo the itn'l buzz they created.
A seriously bad case of mismanaged priorities in terms of HR management

It would be very harsh blaming any one from Si3 top management. They are the best in business but what make them wrong is the regional politics which their competitors were and are playing with them, the politics they are not aware of. They are seasoned professionals with expertize in almost all the sectors of IT which no other IT company in Pakistan has.
Its now our business tradition to always defame the employer whom we left without even realizing what that company has given us. I can challenge, name a single employee who left Si3 and went to even the same level job or the lower? Thats just caz of Si3 and their best salary packages that different companies have started paying employees more than what they were offering before Si3 (in Pakistan).
Wish Si3 all the success

I am surprised to see Si3 in one case at least admit their mistakes, in fact bad way of leaving presidents in the market, But on the other Hand, Arwen Tech following their suite by closing down their few department operations across Pakistan and 50+ people for start by taking resignation from its members. Again bad way of dealing with its dear small staff so called assets, infact CXO asks dept staff that you did not made any revenues. C-level is always responsible for the fate of its organization, they have to admit and also resign. Come one guys face the factual position, don’t be like give sower pill to others one has to sallow itself also!

Si3 suffered from a simple case of not having enough funds. The people at Si3 created something that individuals and companies in Pakistan have reused and copied. The vision was to create a world class IT services organisation, something which no one in Pakistan has been able to do.
Having worked with professionals from across the globe, Amer Hashmi and Amer Mubbusher tried to put it on the map and i salute them for their courage.
Many of the incompetent or redundant employees that could not do well are now bad mouthing it. Truly unprofessional. Give credit where its due.

The problem with Pakistani industry is not uni dimensional, it's multifacted. A fish cannot outgrow its tank. You either make the tank big, or stay a small fish. Pakistan lacks the infrastructure, quality manpower, political stability, government support, and the ecosystem to create and sustain big companies like VIPRO and Infosys. And on top of it you have greedy people like the Si3 management who want to make it big overnight instead of following the tried and tested slow and steady path. Before coming to Pakistani market, Si3 should have seen why already established companies like NetSol and LMKR failed to put Pakistan on the "Global IT Map". It could have saved a lot of people's time, and money

Questions:
Who is responsible for Si3's downfall? or What are the reasons behind Si3's failure?
By x-employee
could somebody tell me if Mr.Amer Hasmi is still with
si3 the rumors are he is no longer with the company.
By salman ahmad
Answers:
Amer Mubbusher. Almost all the best people left Si3 because of him. I don't know what hashmi sees in him.

I would like to make some correction to this question because it is definitely not the downfall Si3 has faced during that period. It was the downsizing which was being faced. Si3 is doing well as it has ever been. The difference is there were some people who weakened
its bases and they Quit from their positions. They quit because of the sake of their own benefit and left Si3. Ups and downs are a part of life, it doesn't mean to Quit. Ex-Si3 staff was there when all were going great, I ask just one question to ex-staff, "Where they are when Si3 actually wanted them?". Of course they were there when they needed Si3.

Middle Management, they had weak middle management, actually i would say they lacked in middle management.
