they fired people without even realizing that they were making such a big mistake. around 80% of the employees are relatives of president, vice president, director IT or kamran arshad.... thats y they are in such a bad shape.

DPS is indeed a great place to work , very non political unlike LMKR, i am a former employee and worked there for more than 3 years, in total peace and harmony, I was given confidence and authority to handle and correspond with the clients, Although there is always room for improvement, DPS is a very peaceful and calm company to work for. I wish all the success to DPS.

Thats It. I just cant take it anymore. U all need to realise the hard work and dedication our i mean ur IT Director and Kami is putting in. To be PM or Director its not so simple and if it would have been than you all would have become PM and IT D. They have the skills and they are super duper in it. and yes their years of practice. And i am sure none of you have that what is take to be a Godd PM and ITD and none of u can do even once what they do everyday, eveymin , every sec ..and THAT IS TC ..AND WHAT IS Y THEY ARE TC MASTER....

@Anonymous exact percentage for firing..even if it is less than 1 percentage that is something bad, and u r praising that they are firing and then doing some consolation..wow.. how would u feel if your employer fires you and hires someone else at your place and tells you to keep looking we are backing u. I'm glad I don't have relatives in higher management, that means I won't get a job at this hell of a place and won't be forced by my family to get the name on my CV for future referrals. I'd rather join the CDA and sweep streets and pick up dog shit.

Exageration, dominates here on this page. I guess there are facts but little too exagerated, so i guess we should adopt a more realistic approach. and another thing too much of personal attacks. Dushmanian nikal rahey hain yahan to sarey..... and one thing for those who have been explictly mentioned in the pings, they should not take it offensive but they should take it as positive criticism, it would help them get rid of the negative things they have been accused of. Have the decency to tell the truth, don't TC here at least, leave that for your office. TC is wrong and that’s the reason why Pakistan will never become a international arena for IT or any other matter. When companies run like mule carts rather then self sufficient machines, all the good quality workers will get up and leave as soon as they can. That's why all the Pakistanis who leave, go off an never look back. Cause they know companies here are never going to let a quality work to speak for itself, they would rather give a good position to their relatives. Companies like this, LMKR, Netsol and others which are run without a clear sense of management, are more destructive for our country. They should be removed from here and in place, give those hard workers the chance to do their own work. Maybe then, Pakistan will get on the international map as a business viable destination rather then being a playground for destruction.

Its an agony with private sector worker that they hardly appreciate their employers. Its quite unfortunate that mostly fresh grads has been comming to serve DPS and consequently they failed to demonstrate their basics and educational capabilities while abusing their earning place. I feel sorry on every such individual who still lacks in mental growth.

If you have any other option, i'd advise u to go there. keep urself away from DPS.but if u dont have any other option,use it as long as u dont find a better place.3rd class environment, 3rd class management,3rd class team leads, no growth at all, full TC culture and ragra mahol.they dont care for their employees at all. their policy is to hire people, exploit them,and if they leave, let them go as employees doesn't matter as long as u r getting business.they also exploit employees on the name of kuwait, sending them their on the same pakistani salary.

DPS is like a heaven for starters. It is a company where people of old thoughts exists in the top management. DPS dont like expensive resources, and they mostly hire fresh graduates and give extensive ragra on a very low salary. Late sittings is a routine, and resources get Frustrated and leave the company after the completion of the project, and then DPE hire new Fresh Graduates to save monney. And after the compleiton of a project, they hire new fresh graduates and despose off the old and frustrated resources. 3rd class environment, and 3rd class Management. Team leads who give most of the Ragra and impose late sittings are very successful and are given promotions. Some team leads are not even Inter pass, and they are/were managing teams. They have very bad English language skills and the office is like a Big clinic, no proper cooling system, just table fans. They just believe in Cheap resources and Late sittings, and it funny that they call them self Professionals.

Lets discuss the pro's and cons logically. Anyone in the favor of the company kindly answer the following queries. *Kindly share with us how many certified project managers do they have ? any PMP's ? Prince certified ? Anyone who understands MSF ? Certified ? *Forget the certification, can anyone tell me if they have ever seen any properly planned project plan ? Any single project which was planned using any project management tool ? *Once a manager, a senior one, said in a meeting that he doesn't understand the project plan so the team lead should just list down the activities in excel sheet and mail it to him. The poor, newly hired, TL had to scrap his project plan, his contingency plan and list the activities in excel. And still the moronic manager screwed up the time estimates, by commiting to the client the time line for the phase one as the whole project timeline, and the team had to put in extra efforts to deliver. *Any Architect level guy working there ? (kindly refrain from naming self proclaimed technical managers :) ) *Anyone in the whole company familiar with design patterns ? anti patterns ? *I dont want to name anyone, but specifically in this case I will make an exception, since I couldnt resist it. Why does Kamran Arshad's team sit late ? Has anyone listened to their phone meeting ? Since he cant speak or understand English, he just responds "YES maaadaaaaam" to every thing the client says and after the meeting asks one of the team members to explain to him what was discussed :) If he is qualified enough to be a manager, why does he ask his team members to write mails for him ? Has anyone really seen him write a correct sentence in english ? *How is the code base managed ? checking in the zips files containing the daily or weekly code in either VSS or attaching in email doesnt qualify. Installing VSS is one thing and using it properly is another. *Any knowledgebase installed/used/created/visualized for any of their their products ? *Any licensed software ? Any software purchased by the company ? (buying a 35 rupees CD doesnt qualify :) ) *Any disaster recovery system in place ? *Any attendance system used ? they reverted back to paper based attendance :) *Any medical policy for the employees ? *Graduity ? *Provident fund ? *Career Path ? *Perks ? *car ? *Does anyone give me a answer to why their whole almost 25-30 ppl Datawarehouse team left 2 years back ? Why were people in such large number pissed at the company that they left like that ? *Why did they loose the Cendant ware house project ? *For an IT company, whose main (read.... only) revenue stream is through technical people, Why their supporting departments like accounts and admin have more say than the IT guys ? *Why is the purchase order for buying tissue papers to be used by employees, approved by the President / owner of the company ? Shouldnt he be focusing on more important issues like how to run a company ? delegate responsibilities ? structure the company ? *When they lost their call center project, why was the on-site manager informed by the Islamabad office ? what was she doing at the client site, if she didnt even know that the project was lost ? (perhaps busy writing the over average progress report :P ) and the list goes on.....

Well Well Well Furukh khwaja has done it agian. Now come on guys dont ask me what he has done now. dont you know what he is good at...doing DOWN SIZING. Yestarday 40 people were fired from DPS, and the reason obviously is he can not afford having them...my advice would be hore more of your relatives in your company and rather than running a software house setup a poltry farm...you migjht be able to run that with success....

Could you help me to understand with all the Against Ping, why this company is still getting good business from international market and hiring experienced people from vertical markets like telecom, financial, service? I think getting business is different and getting bad pings is different. Like Comcast is the biggest cable company in US, but has the worst customer service. It is all about marketing and sales.
