What methods do we use to find candidates?
We have a very well maintained database of over 100,000 technical candidates. We start by networking and searching our database for appropriate matches. We also use referrals and advertising as other means of attracting qualified applicants.
How do we screen candidates?
We thoroughly and extensively interview candidates in the areas of motivation, career goals and environmental desires as well as technical skills. We want to present candidates that are “cream of the crop” who will be able to be productive additions to our client’s engineering teams right from the day they start the job. By the time you receive a resume from C2K Technologies Technical Recruitment, you can expect that not only will it be a technical match for the job order, but that we will know all about the candidate’s past work history, their reasons for leaving past positions, motivation for finding a new position, type of position they are interested in, the type of environment they want to work in, their salary history, etc. In other words, all candidates will be thoroughly pre-screened.
What type of background checks/reference checks do we do on our candidates?
At our client’s request, we do professional reference checks, and can also do background checks and educational degree verifications. We do supervisory reference checks on candidates who are not currently working to make sure that they left their last position on good terms and are eligible for re-hire.
Besides technical skills, what traits do we look for in candidates?
We look for candidates who have the potential to be long-term employees for our clients. We prefer to work with candidates who have a steady and stable work history and a solid educational foundation. We also look for candidates who are motivated by what they can contribute to a potential employer, not just what they can get out of a situation. We try and steer clear of working with candidates who are solely motivated by money.
We avoid working with candidates who are not really motivated to find a new job as these people usually end up deciding that they are more comfortable where they are and it turns out to be a waste of everyone’s time.
